The Corporation has established a number of committees that operate within procedures, rules and bye-laws that have been specifically authorised by the Governing Body and cover such matters as membership, quorum, frequency and the calling of meetings. The Corporation ensures that the committees are accountable and are kept fully informed of any advice tendered or decisions taken.
The committees are:
Audit – required by statute and responsible for ensuring the adequacy and effectiveness (including value for money) of the college’s systems of internal control and its arrangements for risk management, control and governance processes.
Curriculum and Service Quality – advises the Corporation on the curriculum and service quality elements together with setting and monitoring performance targets.
Employment Policy and Finance - responsible for human resource, financial and non-estates capital funding
Estates- responsible for estates strategy of the College
Governance and Search – required by statute and assumes responsibility for recommending appointments to the Corporation, the composition and balance of the Governing Body, governor training and governance legislation and guidance.
Remuneration– responsible for devising methods of assessing performance and advising the Corporation on the remuneration of senior postholders.
Special – constituted when necessary to examine and determine discplinary issues involving senior postholders.
